Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons
Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons is a beautiful 15th Century country manor at Great Milton near Oxford. Established by the chef Raymond Blanc, the hotel hosts the Raymond Blanc Cookery School with working vegetable and herb gardens on the grounds. There is also a two-star Michelin restaurant onsite (highly recommended). Since it’s a short train journey from London, I participated in a day course held in a private kitchen - the size of a large home kitchen - accessible from the main restaurant kitchen. The day was less hands on than I would usually be in a course. Still, a charming way to learn new recipes and techniques and drink wine on a Saturday.
